English Country Dancing is social, community dancing, where one of the pleasures is interacting with everyone in the room. New people are welcome any time, and you don't need to bring a partner.

Details
All dances are called to live music. No partners needed, friendly folk will ask you to dance. Beginners are welcome: teaching and walk-throughs happen before each dance. Please wear flat-soled shoes.
Venues
Germantown Country Dancers holds dances in two locations: the Merion Friends Meeting Activity Building on the Main Line, and Summit Presbyterian Church in Mt. Airy. We have detailed directions to each location.
Admission
Admission prices are listed above. Full-time students are half-price. Members of GCD or CDSS receive a $1 discount.

GCD's 2009 Twelfth Night on WHYY
GCD's Twelfth Night Dance was filmed in January 2009 for a short "Experience" program on WHYY, public television in the Philadelphia area. The program began airing on May 30, 2011, and can be viewed on the WHYY website.Longsword
On 2nd and 4th Wednesdays, GCD Longsword Team will be practicing at Merion Friends from 6:15 to 7:15 pm (prior to the dance). New team members are welcome. If you are interested in participating or want more info, contact Tanya Rotenberg.
